Learn the Best Abs Exercises for Men and Women
Gliding Discs can be used during abs exercises for men and women.
You can combine 2 gliding disc core exercises into one killer combo exercise.
This combo exercise combines knee-ins with hip abductions and hip adductions. Check out the pictures and instructions below.
Abs Exercises for Men and Women
Gliding Disc Knee Ins with Hip Abductions and Adductions
Starting Position: Get into the plank position with your hands on the floor. Then, place your feet on top of two workout discs.
Form: First, pull in your knees towards your chest. Hold for a brief second and then extend your legs all the way back to the starting position.
Next, slide your feet out to the side (hip abduction), hold for a brief second and then slide your feet back together.
Repeat this pattern from the beginning 3-15 times.
Personal Trainer Tips: I know this exercise has lots of steps, but once you get into a rhythm it will be easier to remember the sequence. And, in the grand scheme of things as long as your core muscles are working, it really doesn't matter if you move out the pattern by mistake.
If the combo exercise is too challenging for your strength and/ or coordination, first master each individual exercise.
