Trx Abs Exercises: Mountain Climbers
Mountain Climbers are one of many trx abs exercises that you can use to compliment other exercises.
There are so many different types of equipment that you can use to work your abs. You can use medicine balls, stability balls, and even the trx suspension system.
Mountain Climbers are sometimes used as a cardio exercise, but when you combine them with the trx you can really work your abs.
TRX Abs Exercises: Mountain Climbers
Starting Position: Begin by placing your feet in the trx straps and then lift your body into the plank position. Make sure you keep your hands directly underneath your shoulders.
Form: While keeping your abs and core engaged and your arms straight, slowly bring your right knee in towards your chest. Hold for a second and then straighten your right leg.
Then, repeat on the left side. Keep alternating legs for 10-25 repetitions on each side.
Personal Trainer Tips: In this, like in every exercise, it is important to keep your lower back from arching too much when your legs are extended. So do your best to keep your abs engaged and your torso just about parallel to the floor.
If you're a beginner you can build up with the trx plank.
Since you also need good upper body strength to perform this exercise, doing push ups can help you to increase how many repetitions you'll be able to do.
Mountain Climbers are just one of many great core exercises with the trx. If you want a new challenge for your abs, try adding in some trx exercises to your workout routine.
