Ab Exercise Equipment Review
It costs between $1500 and $2000, and in my opinion that's a pretty hefty investment for a one dimensional ab exercise machine.
For under $2000 you can furnish a really amazing home gym. $2000 can buy a cardio machine, dumbbells, barbells, and kettlebells, and you would still have money left over to purchase core exercise equipment like medicine balls, exercise balls, a bosu ball, a core board, resistance bands, and other accesories.
I have seen the ab solo in a few local gyms, but I would not join a gym just for the ab solo. However, if there's one sitting in your gym it should be easy to experiment with the machine.
